|| Blademaster || Level 1 || Casual || The other day, I was talking to my buddy Sam and he told me he had bought this pet, called a Grunty. The name sounded awfully vague to me and it had its own few pages in the manual but I must have skipped over it. Anyways, my buddy tells me its a cute pet that you can buy, you feed it and eventually it'll get older and you can ride it. I was ecstatic, well, not that overjoyed but I thought about getting me one. As I logged into The World, there turned out to be an event where they are giving away one free Grunty to all Players that stop by within the time limit. So I guess I'm heading over.ZETHAIN HAS LOGGED IN. chimed a computerized voice in Virgil's ears. Zethain, the Chaos Blademaster as he liked to call himself, had chosen to log in on the Theta Sever, as that was where the Grunty Ranch was. Leaving the Root Town, Dun Loireag, he headed on over to the Ranch owned by Farmer Grunt himself. An old NPC by reputation, owner and breeder of the Grunties in The World.
Passing the fence, Zeth made his way up the pathway to the old rickety house, where the NPC probably resided. To one side of the house, there was a barn and to the other side, there was a fenced area where he spotted multiple Grunties of different colors padding around. Smirking, he turned back to the house and watched the front door as he called out.
"Hey, Farmer Grunt, you in?" He undoubtedly would be, since he was a NPC, where would he/it go? Since the farmer wasn't outside, Zeth had to make some kind of contact to initiate a conversation so he could get his Grunty.
Hmm, red or black?

Of course I’m in sonny. Does it looka like I can go anywhere?” Said Farmer Grunt. The human of an NPC was usually very stale and occasionally dark, but Farmer Grunt would never know as he had the biggest smile on his face when Zeth entered.
"Anyway, course I got some Baby Grunties fer ya! But only take one...No reason to be greedy." The farmer teased and laughed wholeheartedly. Soon he directed the Blade Master towards the stables where about ten Baby Grunties were snug quietly together in a fenced area.
"Well, here lady. Take your pick!" He presented the babies with a grin. The Grunties before Zeth were of all different colors; yellow, red, green, blue. Nearly all of them were common colors. No rare Grunties like Gold or Silver were in sight. Regardless of color, there was no denying that they were all adorable![/style] [style=margin-top: 6px; width: 100px; height:100px; float:right; font-size: 7pt; font-family: calibri; font-weight: bold; text-align: center; border: 5px solid #DFDFDF]

|| Blademaster || Level 1 || Casual || The Blademaster eyed each of the colorful Baby Grunties in turn, debating to himself which he should take. The darker colors appealed to him the most, because most of his favorite colors were indeed on the darker scale. When it came down to it, he was choosing between a black one, a red one or a green one. To him, black represented the Dark element, one he could use. The red represented Fire, another element he was competent in wielding. Then Green would be nature or something, one he wasn't attuned with but it could add into the mix.
Hmm...which one?
"I'll take the gray Grunty." That came out of nowhere but since he couldn't choose, he thought of a random object and whatever color that object reminded him of would be the Grunty he chose and gray was it.

The NPC didn’t know why…perhaps people considered them to be boring or something.
“Come here little guy!” He picked up the Grey, Baby Grunty and placed it gently in Zeth's arms. "Now be very calm and gentle with'em. At this age these guys get real spooked easily and you'll have to carry'em when he's out of his stable. Remember, feed him Grunty Mints as soon as you can! The sooner ya feed'em, the faster he'll grow and then you can ride the little guy as an adult, but he's got some time!" The large farmer laughed.
“And o’ course, you’re gonna wanna name him too! Howz bout Grey Boy or Greyson?” The famer asked with a big grin on his face. || Blademaster || Level 1 || Casual || Zeth received the Baby Grunty and held it gently against his body with one arm and petting its head with his other hand. It was a cute little guy and the list of things to do and not to do sounded kind of tiresome but he would learn the routine and it would reward him with an Adult Grunty later down the line. One he would be able to ride and such. If only they had Grunties in reality, they would be much better than their pig brethren.
"Uh, perhaps Ash. What do you think?" Ash sounded great. The Grunty was grey, ash was grey. It should work out fine in the end.

That’s a great name!” The Grunty Farmer was whole-heartedly ecstatic. “Now you take good care of’em and come back anytime you need to feed him…I got Grunty Mints galore!” The NPC laughed, “Ya have a good day!” Before moving on to other important NPC dealings…Like standing in front of the barn. || Blademaster || Level 1 || Casual || "Awesome, good to know."
Snuggling the cute little guy, now known as Ash, Zeth watched the NPC walk away, as the conversation was at an end. He then turned and walked off the farm property, heading back to some place that he could care for the Grunty or whatever. Ash was now his and he could return to the Ranch to buy mints, stuff the Grunties eat to grow bigger. Must be like rare candy.
I wonder if they have that stuff for us...hmm.
This thread will now be used to purchase Mints and feed Ash the Grunty. NPC interaction is no longer necessary.
