DREAMSCAPE is a new roleplaying site based on the popular japanese rpg, .hack. In this game, you can pick a race, choose your class (a very cool list of jobs), create your character, search dungeons, complete quests, battle others in the arena, roleplay your way through epic adventures, and solve the mysteries of The World: Dreamscape. Help us save "The World!" I'll catch you up on the latest.
CC Corp, a computer technology company, has just released a new video game called Dreamscape. It is a follow up to their last game, The World. A couple years ago, when the game was still called The World, the company was slammed with lawsuits and controversy. Many of the players whose characters were slain in the game fell into coma's in real life, with no explanation why. My friend was one of those.
My name is Haseo. I once played the game called The World, and a friend of mine fell into a coma. I saved her with the help of my friends, and we immediately quit the game. But now, they've come out with a totally updated game, but this time, people aren't falling into coma's, but instead, there are problems arising that are much worse.
A few players have encountered an entity within the game, unlike nothing they've ever seen before. They cannot defeat it. It appears out of nowhere and kills their character. They could just log back in right? Wrong. Players that have been killed by this entity have disappeared from real life. There have been many reports from distraught parents saying that they left their kid in front of the computer, but when they returned, the child was gone; their controller and virtual reality headset nowhere to be found.
It get's worse. Just the other day, the death of a young man was reported, a player of the world who was undoubtedly killed by this entity. Since then, more and more have been disappearing and dying.
I promised myself I would never return to the game after what happened a couple years ago. But now, I have no choice. It's time to log in again.
It's time to save "The World".
