• The Embodiment of War :: The personal weapons of Ares, the Embodiments of War provide a unique twist to his image as a Twin Blade in both appearance and function. Named Deimos and Phobos, after the Greek personifications of terror and fear, they are little more than a set of retractable blades as long as his forearms, strapped against his wrists and kept hidden underneath his clothes and a pair of protective vambraces.
An exotic weapon as this would normally be impractical in full combat, as the blades are too small to withstand the tremendous impact of a sword or an actual dagger. However, these instruments of death have been modified with additional metal plating, improving their durability to such a degree that it now fully qualifies them for heavy weapon contact. They are strong enough to parry and stop even the most cumbersome of blades, provided Ares can react fast enough.
The true design behind the Embodiment of War, however, is to capitalize on concealing one's presence in the crowd. Their ability to hide within his clothes until Ares needs them grants him full control over the element of surprise, allowing him to make a sudden sneak attack when nobody's paying attention. Many are those who have fallen to this lethal weapon, so hidden as they were.
