She is almost always found in a hazy, dreamlike state, wearing a facial expression usually reserved for the conveyance of vague apathy, confusion, or even inattentiveness. This, of course, mirrors her real-world state of general dreaminess and overall lackadaisical nature. Her teal eyes, almost always half-lidded, suggest a state of perpetual half-sleep. The corners of her mouth usually remain at a neutral, slight downturn. She's quick to smile, though, pulling her lips into a mild, pleasant, dreamy-looking grin. Her voice is high, light, and a bit rasped, with a whisper-like quality. Her speech is slow; maddeningly so to many. Each syllable of each word is measured at nearly one-half the pace of your average speaker. Add to this that she tends to lie deep in thought and may frequently be found in a seemingly absent, listless daze whether wandering or at rest, and some are never truly able to discern whether Zipper has fallen asleep at the console at any given time... something which is likely to be a frequent occurrence, anyway. Although she keeps PK enabled, Zipper is a predominantly pacifistic soul. She often even waits to make sure a given monster intends to attack her, first, before returning fire. If violence is called for, she has no problems with taking up arms but would much rather lie in the grass and, if possible, discuss things... as productively as possible before her mind begins to wander and the topic at hand inevitably slides into another. Still, enabling PK, in Zipper's mind, is more like keeping the limiter off. Why shoehorn your own rules into a rule-less world? If someone wants her dead badly enough, they'll still find an indirect way if necessary, right? The World is like a waking dream, and she wants to experience all it has to offer to the fullest, both the good and the bad. None of this means that Zipper is an easy mark for either mobs or PKers, though. Getting the drop on her is more than simple enough, but the first strike had best be a decisive blow. Rouse her into action, and you'll find her to be quite able. She is a quick-thinking, fast moving, relentless opponent who is more than willing to defend herself or anyone she considers herself to be on friendly terms with to the death. Being who she is, it's not entirely unusual to witness Zipper defending random NPCs, animals, or even mobs if she feels they are being unduly harrassed or assaulted. Are you, as a level 30 character, really so bored that you must attack that level 1 bunny? For shame. You'll become a bad person if you keep that up. Nobody likes associating with bad people. Even computerbunnies. Do you truly refuse to accept the error of your ways? I guess the playing field needs to be levelled, then. Time to help the bunny. En garde, bad person! Zipper does have 'normal' goals, of course. Dungeons! Forests! Fields! Treasure! What could be more fun than something so fantastic? Still, her drive toward a given accomplishment must regularly do battle with her desire to wander and take in the scenery for a few hours on the way there, perhaps contemplating the potentially deep implications of whatever she may come across. Unchecked, this sort of behavior is likely to prevent her from ever reaching said areas or treasures before she log off and tend to real-life concerns. This doesn't much bother her, though. The World is designed to not have any specific goals or a hard-and-fast method of play. As such, Zipper feels perfectly content spending her time in The World in whatever way she happens to, and considers it leisure time well spent. Never one to shy away from a social situation, Zipper is more than willing to party up. More often than not, however, unless the group has a singular goal in mind, her performance can be a bit disappointing. She will often become caught up in considering the separate objectives -- Which should take priority? How would they best be accomplished? Solo action or wait for the group? Should the approach focus on speed, stealth, tactics, or brute force? An hour later, she'll notice she's been dropped from the party. Beyond feeling a bit guilty she cost herself an opportunity to help, though, she generally doesn't take this too hard. Gear is not of particular concern for Zipper. As long as it's at least minimally effective, it's suitable. If the blade is too dull to cut, it will be used as a weak club until a replacement is found. If the clothing and armor still covers all the important bits, it's functional enough until something less tattered can be obtained. Should there be no dire need for a given item, she will happily pass on even the rarest of treasure, should a friend, party member, or even other random player be pursuing it, but should there be no other demand, Zipper will claim anything that seems potentially useful. Overall, Zipper can be a bit naive. A properly silver tongue (or even a bronze one, half the time) could convince her to take the wrong actions against the wrong people, or even to remain inappropriately inactive in a situation which she otherwise wouldn't. She's no fool, however. Rather than running in with guns a-blazin', she would attempt to talk it through, giving her a fair chance of making peace with an intended target unless just the right misunderstandings were in place beforehand. Still, anyone attempting to use her for their own entertainment or nefarious purposes would potentially need some patience. Zipper does tend to act and react slowly until she gets started. In the real world, Zipper finds life somewhat unfulfilling and even a bit banal. Her situation doesn't allow for getting out much, so she's pretty easy to find in The World relatively often. One can only sleep or daydream for so long at a stretch so, after those, The World is her primary escape.
