GENERAL RULES
Below are the universal forum rules that we expect everyone to adhere to as general code of conduct. These rules are simply stated so that, when a player is warned or banned, they know why. This also ensures that each member is treated with respect and is able to have a good experience upon joining. Most people should not have any difficulty adhering to the following rules, but they are stated just in case.
GODMODING • The concept of god-modding refers mostly to battle and includes posting multiple actions within one post without waiting for the opponent to respond. Controlling other members' characters, unless given permission, is also frowned upon as it is a form of god-modding.
Role Play within the limit of logic and the common sense of your character. While circumstances may occur, defeating a level 20 player at level 1 is utter nonsense. Therefore, know your limits and you will succeed. Players found god-modding during a role play will receive less, if any rewards, for that Role Play.
IN-CHARACTER • All posts in character, regardless of any form must be at least a decent paragraph in length (when I mean a decent paragraph, I do mean 3-5 sentences) unless special permission is given to an RPer with specific and acceptable reason. You will receive next to no reward for writing a 4 sentence story while you will usually gain a level within 3-5 posts in a story consisting of at least a paragraph per post.
Be specific and descriptive while you're role playing so that others who are reading your post will not have trouble understanding what you intend to tell them, hence making the thread easier to be involved in. Give us something we will enjoy reading!
FLAMING • This action covers other types of actions that are meant to destroy the board or hurt the feelings of the members and the staff. This is to reduce unwanted conflicts which can jeopardize the overall progression of the site. If the staff deems your actions intolerable flaming they will communicate with you to remedy the issue. If the verbal warning does not suffice, the member will be banned. Everyone is equal and should be respected as such.
PLAYING STAFF • Do not participate in staff actions unless you are apart of the staff. Posting in other people's applications is not allowed. We know you want to be friendly and try to help others, but really, you could end up doing something with the adverse effect. Imagine having 20 random people trying to tell a new member something about their application at a time.
The staff will take care of this. If you have something you want to say, PM the member in question, or bring something to the staff's attention.
SWEARING • We are trying to maintain a PG-13 atmosphere in the board. Swearing to a certain degree to release anger or tension is allowed to an extent. However, please keep in mind that this RPG is based on a cartoon and our core audience will most likely be young writers.
PORNOGRAPHY • I cannot stress this enough: sexual content of any kind, including graphic and words displayed in signatures, avatars, posts and links etc in display are NOT ALLOWED at all. Having any of the above said sub-sections will result in permanent ban in IPs without further questions.
SPAM • This can be defined as double posting, advertising in the inappropriate forum, posting something in the inappropriate forum or talking off-topic. We do realize accidents occur. If you make one simply edit the post that was spam, deleting the initial post and replacing it with something of value. Redundant threads will be deleted and the staff has a right to scrap off or edit threads if they see fit.
RESPECT • Last, but certainly not least: treat other role-players with respect. This is not something I should even have to add. Refrain from the use of abusive languages and insults. If an argument occurs due to a thread or some other circumstance, try to debate and settle the argument as peacefully as possible.
You may feel free to ask for the assistance of a staff member to help mediate in the matter. In short, the OOC area is not your verbal battlefield. If you bear any grudge with your RP partner due to some inevitable reasons, please deal with it outside of the site. This is when PMs come in handy and if I see anyone insulting others in the site regardless who he/she is, mandatory action will be taken.
